River City Ringers of Omaha is a dedicated group of ringers who provide cultural enrichment by ringing music. The group presents a wide range of sacred, secular, and original handbell music through concerts and educational programs.
River City Ringers cooperates with the national community and professional handbell ensemble movement to raise awareness and standards of English handbell ringing locally, regionally, and nationally, and also assist in developing diverse ringing opportunities in the Omaha Metro area and foster fun and fellowship.
Since 1988, the choir has rung for events in the Omaha Metropolitan area including concerts at the Holland Performing Arts Center, Durham Western Heritage Museum, Lauritzen Gardens, Omaha Royals, several Habitat for Humanity benefit concerts, the Performing Arts Council of Florence and the Assistance League of Omaha, and many private Christmas parties.
The choir offers seasonal and spring concerts, with musical selections that include classical or contemporary, serious or zany, formal or casual, and sacred or secular.
Rezound!, an auditioned community handbell ensemble in Kansas City, has been creating exceptional music for over 20 years. This nationally acclaimed ensemble has captivated audiences around the country with their expressive music and engaging style.
In addition to a year-round concert schedule in the Kansas City region, Rezound! has enjoyed successful tours throughout the Midwest and regularly collaborates with other choral and instrumental ensembles in a variety of concert settings. The ensemble has had the privilege of performing for fellow musicians at several HMA events, including the 2019 National Seminar in St. Louis, the 2016 Area 8 Festival in Springfield, IL, and Pinnacle 2015 in Dallas.
Member musicians are all volunteers with a passion for promoting the artistic and musical beauty of handbells. As part of its educational mission, Rezound! sponsors local workshops and master classes that focus on helping others achieve their musical best. Members of the ensemble have also served as teachers and clinicians at regional handbell workshops as well as Area and National conferences of the Handbell Musicians of America.
